COVID-19

Sussex Gourmand places food safety and hygiene as a top priority. Our last Food Hygiene inspection took place in March 2020 and we received top marks.

In response to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis, we are taking all reasonable precautions to ensure that everyone, including staff, customers and delivery personnel collecting from our premises are not exposed to Covid-19 and measures are in place to control the spread of the virus.

To that end, we are wearing protective gloves when packing gift boxes and hampers (we already use these for food preparation) and our courier service is working in new, contactless ways. We’ve also increased the frequency of hand washing and surface disinfection.

Despite this, as the Covid-19 virus is highly contagious; it sticks to surfaces (e.g. packaging) and can survive for up to 3 days, we advise customers to wash their hands after handling any packaging from us or any other supplier.
