What a year 2020 turned out to be. Challenging for so many people in many different ways.
For food producers, it was a rollercoaster, with normal forecasts and predictions flying out the window. But as a hamper company, we very much enjoyed the role we played in gift giving during this strange year. Hand-writing the gift messages as we do is always a pleasure, but it felt more special than usual as people thanked, congratulated and wished for happiness on birthdays, engagements and anniversaries.
Christmas saw record numbers of hampers and gift boxes dispatched around the UK and abroad, with wonderful feedback about the quality and originality of contents and our green approach to packaging.
We’ve played our own part in gift giving too, supporting numerous charities in virtual fairs, local hospitals and schools with raffle prizes and we’re also donating 10% of Christmas web sales to The Trussell Trust, who run a nationwide network of foodbanks and campaign to end hunger.
Thank you to everyone who bought Christmas hampers from us.
And now, a quiet, peaceful Christmas, not exactly as we’d planned, but welcome nonetheless.
Have a very happy Christmas and here’s to a good 2021!
