We usually deliver by overnight courier, but if you’re ordering a gift for someone who lives in Brighton & Hove, Lewes or Shoreham, we’ll deliver personally, free of charge.
You don’t need to do anything to claim free delivery, other than input the local address at checkout, which calculates shipping based on the size of your gift box and postcode. Local postcodes are preset to charge nothing for delivery.
If you live nearby and your postcode is currently excluded, please drop us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and if we can, we’ll add your postcode to our free delivery list.
Our packaging philosophy
We are undeniably focused on taste, to give you wonderful flavour combinations of authentic Sussex artisan foods. Our range of Sussex hampers and artisan gift boxes reflects the beautiful countryside around us. Our packaging has been carefully chosen to balance the joy of receiving a well-wrapped gift with a desire to maintain top food quality standards and consider the environment. Our meats are vacuum-packed to maintain excellent microbacterial food standards which are regularly lab-tested but that’s where our use of plastic ends. All other packaging is either plant-cased cellulose or recyclable paper and card.
The Woolcool packaging we use, along with ice-packs, keeps food cold for 48 hours. All packaging can be recycled, including the plastic liner which contains natural wool. The liner can be used again to keep food insulated (you can re-use the ice packs too of course); or for all sorts of handy things in your home and garden, from protecting taps, trees and plants from winter frost to loft insulation and pipe lagging. It makes for a great garden kneeling pad, or the filling can be used for compost, hanging baskets, cushion stuffing, pet baskets and donation to animal shelters.
